Yes gas is quick and easy and I have to admit I 've done it more than once and I liked it. It's quick and easy to fire up the grill and whip out a perfect meal in short order, but barbequeing is supposed to be a slow process and for the purist, time and infusion of flavor by means of smoke and charcoal or a wood fire, that's what it's all about.
